I have been longing for a stroll at Lainzer Tiergarten and visit at Hermesvilla for many months now. But it wasn’t possible because Hermesvilla was closed during the winter and reopened its doors on 28 March 2015.
On one hand, I wonder how come I haven’t visited Hermesvilla not even once in the past 4 years I’ve been living in Vienna, but on the other hand, I am glad there are still new things to see and do in the Austrian capital. If you plan to visit Hermesvilla, just remember that the entrance is free every first Sunday of each month.
Sisi used to live in Hermesvilla, therefore you can see the interior and some furniture, but what I liked the most was the charming stairs and beautiful black and white checkerboard floor.
To sum it up, on this blog post there are some pictures of Hermesvilla, its surroundings, and the cafe restaurant on the ground floor. I didn’t take many pictures of Hermesvilla because it was under construction. But what a romantic place for a stroll, right?
