The Viennese Girl Blog’s 10-Year Anniversary

Ten years ago, I started a blog that would soon become my passion and my life’s work – The Viennese Girl Blog. Today, I am celebrating a major milestone: my 10-year anniversary. Over the past decade, I have been on an incredible journey through travel and photography, which has taken me to some of the most beautiful and inspiring places in the world. Through this blog, I have shared my experiences, my struggles, and my successes with you. It has been an amazing journey, and I am so grateful to have been able to share it with all of you.

What has changed in the last 10 years?

When I started The Viennese Girl blog in 2013, I had no idea where it would take me. I was just a young traveler with a passion for photography, and I wanted to share my adventures with the world.

Fast forward to today, and so much has changed. I’ve traveled to countless new destinations, met amazing people, and grown both as a photographer and a writer.

But it’s not just my personal journey that has changed. The world of blogging itself has transformed over the last decade. When I first started, blogging was still a relatively new phenomenon, and social media was in its infancy. Now, bloggers are a dime a dozen, and social media has become a major force in the travel industry.

As a result, the landscape of travel blogging has shifted dramatically. Some of the biggest blogs of a decade ago have disappeared, while new ones have emerged to take their place. There’s more competition than ever before, and it can be difficult to stand out from the crowd.

That said, some things haven’t changed. I’m still just as passionate about photography and travel as I was 10 years ago. I still love exploring new places, meeting new people, and immersing myself in different cultures. And I still believe that there’s no better way to see the world than through the lens of a camera.

So while much has changed in the last decade, some things remain the same. And I’m excited to see what the future holds for both me and The Viennese Girl blog.

10 years TVG. What has stayed the same?

Despite all the changes that have happened over the past decade, there are a few things that have stayed constant. One of these is my passion for photography. From the very beginning, photography has been at the heart of The Viennese Girl blog, and it continues to be the driving force behind everything I do.

Another thing that has remained the same is my love for Vienna. When I first arrived in this beautiful city back in 2013, I fell head over heels in love with it, and that love has only grown stronger over the years. Vienna has been the backdrop for so many of my photographs and blog posts, and it will always hold a special place in my heart.

Lastly, my commitment to providing quality content to my readers has never wavered. Whether I’m sharing tips on the best coffee shops in Vienna or showcasing my latest photography project, I always strive to deliver value to my audience. It’s been a wonderful journey so far, and I’m excited to continue sharing my passion for travel and photography with you all in the years to come.

What I’ve learned

Over the last 10 years, I have learned so much from running The Viennese Girl blog. Here are just a few of the things that come to mind:

1. Consistency is key. When I first started my blog, I didn’t have a clear posting schedule or strategy. But over time, I realized that if I wanted to grow my audience, I needed to be consistent with my content. This meant posting regularly and creating a clear brand for my blog.

2. Authenticity is everything. In the early days of my blog, I often felt pressure to conform to the latest trends or popular topics. But over time, I realized that my readers were most interested in hearing my authentic voice and seeing the world through my unique perspective. This has helped me to stay true to myself and create content that resonates with my audience.

3. Community matters. The beauty of blogging is that it’s a way to connect with people from all over the world who share your passions and interests. Over the last 10 years, I have met so many amazing people through my blog, both online and offline. These connections have enriched my life in countless ways and I’m so grateful for them.

4. Creativity is a muscle. When I first started my blog, I had very little photography experience. But over time, I realized that creativity is something that can be developed and nurtured with practice. Through my blog, I’ve had the opportunity to hone my photography skills, try new things, and push myself out of my comfort zone.

5. Life is short, chase your dreams. Running a successful blog takes a lot of time, effort, and dedication. But for me, it’s been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. It’s allowed me to combine my love of travel, photography, and writing in a way that has brought me so much joy. If you have a dream that you’re passionate about, don’t be afraid to pursue it with all your heart. Life is short, and we owe it to ourselves to make the most of every moment.

10 years TVG: What’s next?

After 10 years of running The Viennese Girl Blog, I am excited to see what’s next for this platform. I’ve learned so much over the past decade and I’m looking forward to continuing to share my experiences with my readers.

Moving forward, I plan on exploring new destinations and sharing my adventures through both photography and written content. I hope to continue inspiring others to travel and discover new places, while also offering practical tips and advice to help them along the way.

In addition, I’m interested in expanding my photography skills and collaborating with other creatives to create visually stunning content that tells a story.

I am also thrilled to share that I am currently working on building my third website, which will be entirely dedicated to wedding photography.

Pretty love Stories is my third website and it’s all about wedding photography!

Weddings are profound milestones in people’s lives, brimming with love, joy, and cherished memories. With my innate ability to capture the most intimate and extraordinary moments, I aim to create a visual narrative that beautifully tells the story of your special day.

If you are preparing to tie the knot, I extend a heartfelt invitation for you to connect with me. Together, we will embark on a creative journey, weaving together the emotions, love, and celebration that encompass your wedding day. My ultimate goal is to create an exquisite collection of photographs that will stand the test of time, allowing you to relive every moment and emotion for years to come.

As for the future of The Viennese Girl Blog, I plan on staying true to my core values and remaining authentic in my content. I believe that the key to success in this industry is to always stay true to oneself and to continue to evolve and grow as both a blogger and an individual.

Thank you to all of my readers who have supported me over the past 10 years. I look forward to the journey ahead and can’t wait to share my experiences with you all.

Charlotte aux Fraises

Charlotte aux Fraises

Charlotte aux fraises

I celebrated my birthday in Chania. Like last year. Ria, my favourite Chania based pastry chef, made this Charlotte aux fraises for us. We have the same birthday, so we celebrated this year and last year together. We did nothing special. Yet, our day was nice and calm.

We went to our favourite restaurant which recently opened for the summer season and had lunch there. Afterwards, we came back home. There were not many options left because of the freezing cold outside.

To be honest, I was expecting a better weather for my birthday in March. Nevertheless, I am feeling grateful for the chance to celebrate my birthday in Chania once again and for this delicious Charlotte aux fraises.
