Our boutique hotel in Paris

Since I have visited Paris several times already, I had the pleasure of staying in many hotels and in many different districts around the city. This time, I had the chance to stay at the Adèle et Jules, a boutique hotel situated in the 9th arrondissement in Paris.

Because I have been traveling so often lately, I have become very picky when it comes to accomodation. With that being said, I was happy to discover one more gem in Paris, that I could comfortably call, my home away from home.

During my stay at the charming Adèle et Jules boutique hotel, I paid attention to each and every detail of the hotel. What I noticed (and loved as well) was their attention to the details.

The colors matched with each other, the quality of the mattress, of the bathrobe and of all the textiles that were selected for use in this charming Parisian boutique hotel. I took some pictures of the interior design so that you can have a look. I hope this can be a helpful tip for your next visit to Paris.

Apart from the interion design, I also loved that there was an ATM right next to the corner of the hotel (important when in need of cash). In addition, the hotel is only a few minutes walk from the metro station Grands Boulevards.

Generally, I do love small boutique hotels. The private atmosphere, the laid-back feel, and the peace that they can offer you are experiences to be enjoyed.

The Adèle et Jules hotel is for those who are looking for a new, modern, clean and centrally situated boutique hotel in a nice neighborhood of Paris and for those who love clever and positive decor. I will definitely come back to Adèle et Jules, our boutique hotel in Paris.

It feels like Paris and I have become much closer over the years. Just this past year alone, I have visited the city three times. If you want to see the articles and photos from my previous visits, you can find them here and my photos from my visit during the summer here.

I wouldn’t miss out on Fall in Paris. So, right after I came back from Marrakesh, I packed another luggage and left for Paris for one week. In this blog post, I’m publishing some photos of the hotel we stayed in and some from the photography stroll at Jardin du Luxembourg on a Saturday morning, so that you get an idea of how Paris looks like in the Fall.

I have to admit, I was quite lucky with the weather. It rained a little bit during the first two days, but after that the weather was perfect and not cold at all. One trench coat (or something light) was all I needed, and I was off to take some pictures around the city.

There are still things that I haven’t done and places that I haven’t visited in the city, so I hope for one more trip to Paris before this year ends for good.

My Thomas Sabo moments

Last week while in Paris, I gave myself a photography assignment: to photograph my new Thomas Sabo watch everywhere in the city. Because if not in Paris, then where else?

Paris gave me so much inspiration and all those fall colours made me want to shoot non-stop all around the city. The doors, the Parisian bistros, the Seine, the parks…pretty much everything was an ideal background for what I had in my mind.

Not all the photos ended up in this blog post. I was strict with my final selections, as always, and only published my favorite shots. I hope you like them because honestly speaking, I do love them; both the photos and my new Thomas Sabo watch.

This “rebel spirit” watch from Thomas Sabo is actually a watch for men. But I selected it because I prefer the larger size watches over the smaller ones. Plus, you can also share it with your boyfriend.

Let me tell you a few words on how and where my photo assignment was executed. The first two photos were taken during my visit to Jardin du Luxembourg. The ones that follow were taken at the Pont Marie on our way to the cafe Le Saint Regis. The third photo session was held at the table of the Cafe in front of a variety of French cheese and white wine. And the last two photos were taken at the garden of my favourite restaurant, Ralph Lauren, in Saint Germain. And of course, I need to thank my friend Edisa for the support. I couldn’t have done all this without her.

4 days in Paris

After a hectic week with 3 deadlines, I finished my tasks and hopped on a flight to Paris for a press trip organized by the official tourism board of France. I chose to spend 4 days in Paris, before I begin with the program of the press trip.

I spent a lot of time walking from one arrondissement to another because walking makes me feel good. It would have been a pity to spend time underground in the metro since the weather was so nice. And as I write this, I am asking myself: Do Parisians actually enjoy all this beauty around them, or do they take it all for granted?

One thing that also helped me very much, which you might want to consider getting for your trips as well, is a SIM card that I bought from Orange. I had a French number and internet everywhere, which helps a lot especially if you have one meeting after another. I downloaded the app citymapper and used it mainly for directions on how to get from one point to another by metro. That made the whole experience of getting around a big city as easy as it can be.

The photos above were taken at Ralph Lauren restaurant, in the streets of Paris while I was doing window shopping, at Angelina tea house and at Ritz Hotel.

Although Paris must be the most beautiful capital city I have ever been, it was yet again the people that I met and the discussions we had that made my visit so special. And the last day of my visit, the day I had to take the train for Loire Valley, I realized that 4 days in Paris weren’t enough. I am afraid that even 14 wouldn’t be…
