Who could have imagined I’d ever have such an opportunity? I was beyond excited to be in the very location where scenes from the musical were shot, taking in the beauty of the garden, lake, and mountains firsthand.
Equally thrilling was discovering that the same venue had hosted a CHANEL fashion show in December 2014. Known for their discerning choice of venues, CHANEL always selects the finest locations for their events. Moreover, we had the privilege of photographing the suite where Karl Lagerfeld stayed during the show.

I can vividly recall the instant I entered the Max Reinhardt Suite and the overwhelming sensation it evoked within me. With the windows wide open, sunlight streaming in, classical music softly playing on the radio, and a stunning vista of the lake and mountains stretching out before me, there was an undeniable aura of enchantment permeating the air.

The weekend we spent at Schloss Leopoldskron, we were so lucky with the weather. These were the first days, after a very long time, that I could finally wear a summer dress without coat and tights. Hard to believe it while we were there, but Salzburg treated us to its best way.

We spent the entire day at Hotel Schloss Leopoldskron, venturing out only for dinner. While the hotel itself doesn’t feature a restaurant, there’s one conveniently located just across the lake, a short stroll away. However, guests can indulge in a delicious breakfast served in the palace’s elegant halls.

To be honest, there was not really a need to go out. I could easily spend hours taking photos of the palace or sunbathing in the garden and looking at the lake and mountains without thinking absolutely anything.
The swing that was hanging from a big tree in front of the palace and the bicycles that the hotel offers for a ride were an extra highlight of our stay at the Schloss Leopoldskron.
