Well, after many grey cold days, sun came back to the Viennese sky yesterday. Jakob, who happens to be a talented photographer and a friend of mine, and I didn’t miss the chance to have a walk around the city. He grabbed his fantastic photo camera (which I am dreaming of having the same) and we snapped some beautiful pictures.

What I especially enjoy very much every time I write this blog is that I have to give a name to each post. I call this one Pandemonium because it is like an explosion of colours. The first photo of this post could have been taken somewhere in Brazil or Murano in the Venetian Lagoon, but no, it was taken in the centre of my beautiful Vienna.♥

My interview and blog on InterNations

Over a cup of coffee and a Tarte aux citron, I asked my friends today if they knew about InterNations and I was really surprised of finding out that they had never heard of it before. So I promised them I will write about it and I advised them to join the expat community online.

Under the motto “Connecting global minds” InterNations organizes various events and brings expats together. For example, you may be currently living in Amsterdam and are planning to move to Stockholm. You have already organised work and home but what about your social life? I don’t think you plan to stay alone in your new city! You can join InterNations and meet other interesting people, find interesting topics to discuss with other expats, useful information and city guides, and take part in the groups and events they organize. How can you do that? Just make your own account or give me your email and I can send you an invitation.

I have been a member of InterNations since 04/2011 and I am very happy that they now feature my blog in the recommended expat blog Vienna section, where you can also find an interview about my experience of living in Vienna here.

A big thanks to Valentina from Munich for the interview and nice chat.

What is in my beauty case?

What is in my beauty case?

What is in my beauty case?

What is in my beauty case? – I received one email and I was asked about the make up products I use and I thought I should write about it. Well, I don’t like make up that much, I’d rather say I avoid it most of the times, especially when I have to wake up early, I don’t feel like putting a lot of make up on my face. And I believe in natural beauty…!

Nevertheless, I will tell you about some products I use:

As a day cream, I use the “Make a difference plus +” from Origins, every day after I clean my face. Breakfast and day cream go together. This cream keeps my skin soft and hydrated. I first bought this product in Manhattan and fortunately I can find it in Vienna as well.

I am quite pale, so I believe I need a little bit of color on my cheeks. For that purpose, I use the Crème de blush No 2 from Yves Saint Laurent.

Fortunately not all beauty products are expensive. My favorite Volum’ Express Mascara from Maybelline is friendly to our wallets.

And now I am going to reveal my favorite lipsticks….
The No 97 Incandescente from Chanel…so sexy, hot red, french and classy! And the “Im-Passioned” from MAC cosmetics. I love them both. Two more lipsticks that I like are from Yves Saint Laurent: Rouge Volupte No 13 and No 11.

This products fit my colors and skin perfectly, and that doesn’t mean they fit you as well. Try them before you buy them.

Thank you for asking and never forget that happy girls are the prettiest girls and that all you need is a spontaneous smile!♥
