In this blog post, I am happy to share a few Vienna travel tips. Please keep in mind that we can also discover Vienna together! How? Let me be your Vienna photographer! Book me for a photo session in Vienna.

Expect a relaxed vibe that feels like exploring Vienna with a friend. We can meet in Albertinaplatz and begin our photo session from there. There are countless photo spots in Vienna city centre that I would love to show you. I am happy to suggest the most photogenic locations, but I also remain flexible in case you have a specific wish. Find more info about our Vienna Photo session here.

Vienna Day 1

Start the day with a good breakfast at the rooftop of Haus des Meeres. This is where these photos were taken.

Then go to the city centre and allow yourself to get beautifully lost in the backstreets and little alleyways of Vienna’s beautiful first district.

If you wish to visit the most crowded streets, these are Graben, Kohlmarkt and Kärntnerstrasse.

Afterwards, check the view of the city from the top of Stephansdom.

Visit the French bistro Beaulieu for a little snack. Order a rose lemonade!

The 25hours Hotel has a really nice rooftop bar. End the day here!

Skiing the Austrian Alps

Last weekend I had the chance to visit one more part of Austria: the region Hochkönig. I am not a country, mountain type of girl but traveling means being open to various destinations, discovering places, diving into new cultures and venturing out of the city.

Après-Ski

Under that adventurous state of mind, after the Uni lesson on Friday, I hopped on the train from Vienna to Salzburg. From there, I had to change and take one more train to Bischofshofen (it doesn’t really matter that I still don’t know how to pronounce this word, right?). I arrived just on time for dinner, while everybody else caught an earlier train and was already there…

That weekend I felt like that little girl called Laura in the American TV series “Little House on the Prairie” that I was watching maniacally when I was a little child. I spent 2 nights on those wooden houses that are pictured below.

Every morning, on my way to breakfast, I was caressing horses, pigs, cats, dogs and sheep.

I guess, this is how life in the Austrian countryside should be: peaceful and surrounded by big mountains.

The biggest challenge of the weekend: Go skiing for the very first time in my life. Don’t rush to judge me; I grew up by the sea…it wasn’t easy but I had the best ski instructor (so, Alex if you are reading this thank you very much) who taught me the technique and encouraged me to ski alone.
