Best time to visit Prague

Prague is undoubtedly all year round a beautiful city. Also, architecture wise, it resembles a lot to Vienna. However, I do believe that Prague is even more beautiful covered in snow. In my humble opinion, the best season to visit Prague is during Christmas time when the city is decorated with Christmas lights and if there is also snow, then you are lucky. Christmas lights and snow make this city look even more magical.

Sacher Torte

A Taste of Tradition: Imagine sinking your fork into layers of moist chocolate cake, sandwiched together with a sumptuous layer of apricot jam, and enveloped in a glossy chocolate glaze. That’s the Sacher Torte experience, a harmonious blend of flavors that has stood the test of time.

Origins and Legacy: Our story begins in 1832, in the heart of Vienna, Austria. It was here that Franz Sacher, a young apprentice chef, created the first iteration of what would later become the Sacher Torte. Tasked with concocting a dessert fit for royalty, Sacher rose to the occasion, crafting a masterpiece that would earn its place in culinary history.

Why it continues to captivate taste buds around the world

A Recipe Fit for Royalty: The hallmark of the Sacher Torte lies in its meticulous preparation. Each ingredient is carefully selected and combined to achieve the perfect balance of sweetness and richness. From the finest quality chocolate to the ripest apricots, every element plays a crucial role in crafting this delectable delight.

Savoring the Experience: As you take your first bite, prepare to be transported to a realm of pure bliss. The velvety texture of the cake melts in your mouth, while the tangy notes of apricot dance on your palate. With each subsequent bite, you’ll find yourself craving more of this irresistible treat.

A Global Sensation: Over the years, the fame of the Sacher Torte has spread far beyond the borders of Austria. From quaint cafes in Paris to bustling bakeries in New York City, this iconic dessert has captivated dessert enthusiasts worldwide. Its timeless appeal continues to charm generation after generation.

What would Sacher Torte be like without Vienna and what would Vienna be like without Sacher Torte?

Some things are so connected to each other, that you cannot even imagine them apart.
You can find Sacher Torte in other countries but they are done exquisitely in the country they originated from.

Today we said “Let’s pretend that we are tourists” and jumped into the cafe of the Hotel Sacher. When the sky turns grey, a good friend and that famous piece of chocolate cake with whipped cream next to it is all I need to feel happy.
