Before I got to Miami, I did a research on Google for Miami travel tips of bloggers who reside in the city and I hardly found something. So, here are a few travel tips, based on my experiences in the city, for those who are going to visit Miami:

1. The most romantic place I visited in Miami was Vizcaya museum and gardens. I can imagine hundreds of photo shootings taking place here.

2. Go to Le Sandwicherie for fresh yummy huge sandwiches. I loved it and went twice.

3. Explore Miami Beach on two wheels. There are city bikes to rent and many hotels give them to their guests for free. Miami beach is a bike friendly area with not much traffic, unless you go to the avenues which are more crowded, and many bike lanes. Moreover, it’s hard to see everything on foot, so the smartest way to explore Miami Beach is by bicycle.

4. In Miami Beach don’t visit only the touristic parts like Ocean Drive and Lincoln road. Go and check the side streets.

5. One of my favorite parts of South Beach Miami was hands down Española Way. If you go there, you will understand why!

6. When it comes to art, go to The Wynwood Walls and PAMM Museum.

7. Apart from Miami Beach, check out those neighborhoods: Downtown Miami, Brickell city centre, Coral Gables, Little Havana art district, Coconut Grove.

8. What I dreamt of is having a helicopter tour above the city but it wasn’t possible…next time.

9. I loved the italian dinner at Cibo.

10. Check out Everglades National Park.

Note: the photos above were taken at Vizcaya Museum & Gardens and at The Setai Hotel.

I have always been an admirer of Chanel masterpieces and an invitation to explore the new Chanel boutique in Vienna together with some other editors and journalists one day before the official opening was beyond my imaginations.

On the 8th July, the meeting started with breakfast at Julius Meinl am Graben. Later on, the Chanel staff welcomed us in the boutique with champagne and macaroon and showed us around the entire store. I was totally in my element. Clothing, jewellery, a double C monogram everywhere, the newest creations of Karl Lagerfeld and an interior design inspired by the apartment of Chanel in Paris, on Rue Cambon 31.

Instead of making myself comfortable on the tweed-sofa, flipping through Gabrielle’s Chanel book, eating macarons and sipping champagne, I grabbed my photo camera, started taking pictures and thoroughly immersed myself into the elegant universe of Mademoiselle Chanel. I loved each and every moment spent inside there, although I felt a bit overwhelmed at the beginning, because I didn’t know exactly from where to start taking photos and needed a few minutes to get familiar with the new environment.

I am glad that I am able to give you a sneak peek into the Chanel boutique through my photos on The Viennese girl blog but I also highly recommend you to visit the new Chanel boutique (and the old one) by yourself, if you are in Vienna or you plan to visit Vienna, so that you can discover what I had the chance to discover. And if you are really into the history of fashion, I suggest you to watch some videos that tell the story of a legend, which I personally found very interesting.

I left the Chanel boutique with a small yet fine press gift, feeling inspired and reflecting on three things: first, on my personal style. Second, on the ballerinas shoes that I have been coveting for so long and finally must treat myself as the next Christmas gift, and last but not least, I was thinking one more time that the world is full of endless of possibilities and beautiful things that I just cannot stop discovering.♥

The Viennese Girl for Madonna magazine

the viennese girl blog for Madonna magazine

Today I woke up pretty late. At 10.30am. But it’s Saturday and I am excused, right? I looked at my mobile and I had at least 4 messages from friends telling me that they saw me in Madonna magazine. Although I knew that the article would be published at beginning of May, I needed some time to realize it. At this point, I have a chance to say that blogging and photography is a hard work, and if you want to have a successful blog, it demands a lot of hard work, so I am glad that all this work get recognized from magazines and people like my work and I feel thankful for this. It all started as a hobby, as an idea to escape from the routine but it’s growing fast now and although I have a vision and goal, what is happening still feels sometimes surreal.

So, this weekend started with great news. The Viennese girl blog is featured in Madonna magazine. One whole page dedicated to The Viennese Girl blog with a nice text and beautiful photos from Tony Gigov wearing Patricia Vincent. You can find the online version here. Now I want to know how would you feel if you see photos of yourself in a magazine? ♥
