Chania’s Old Venetian Harbour

In the wonderful country of Greece, there are many beautiful places to visit, and one of them is Chania on the island of Crete. Chania, also known as La Canée (in French), was the capital of Crete from 1201 until 1463 when it was conquered by the Ottoman Empire; in 1898 it became part of independent Greece.

The Breathtakingly Beautiful Colors of Chania

If you’re on the hunt for some new travel photography inspiration, look no further than Chania, Crete. This Greek island boasts everything from beaches so blue they look like they’ve been coloured in by crayons to rocky crags that rise out of the sea as if in defiance of gravity itself. The colours aren’t just limited to the scenery, either—the houses that line the streets of Chania town are painted in hues ranging from bubblegum pink to emerald green to lemon yellow.

A Love Letter to My Greek Sandals

A Love Letter to My Greek Sandals – Backstory

A decade ago, I bought my first pair of Greek sandals and have been in love with them ever since. This article will be a long-winded and rambling piece about how much I adore these shoes and why I think everyone should own a pair or two in their lives (or ten or fifteen). Consider this your guide to everything you need to know about Greek sandals, and why you should consider taking the plunge yourself. You’ll never regret it!

Why I love my sandals

Greek sandals have been around since ancient times and they haven’t lost their popularity since then, especially not in the summer time! They are one of the most iconic styles of footwear ever created and there are still many companies that produce Greek sandals to this day. Here’s why I love them so much and why you should too!

They are comfortable and perfect for the warmer days. They can be dressed up or down and go with everything. I can wear them in the rain and they don’t get ruined. When it’s cold, they’re stylishly warm. There is nothing like a good pair of sandals!

ANESIS, a Greek brand specializing in women’s shoes, sent me these three pair of sandals. They are going to accompany all the happy moments in summer 2021. Thank you Sofia!
