June is literally not a fun month for me because of the exams at the university but I needed to walk around with my camera in one hand and a Kurt frozen yogurt in another and breathe some fresh air while taking some pictures at the center of Vienna, as I used to do back in the first June I was in Vienna, four years ago. Here are some snapshots that I love to share with you all on The Viennese Girl blog.♥

The Viennese Girl for Wienerin

1st of May, bank holiday in Vienna. I wake up at 6.30. I make myself up quickly. I get in the metro. I am in the center of Vienna around 8.00am. My first goal of the day is to take pictures of the center of Vienna without people. I have only one hour to complete my work because when the cafes open at 9.00, the center will be full of people. I know exactly where I want to go, of which places I want to take pictures, so I don’t lose not even a minute. My time is valuable. At 9.00 I am done. Hooray! Now I deserve a Viennese breakfast  for rising early this morning. I decide to pamper myself and enter Demel. I found a table next to a window and while I savor my Viennese breakfast I lose myself into deep thoughts. Sometimes I think too much. After one hour of thinking and eating, I am done with my breakfast. Ready to go now. My next goal is to buy Wienerin. I am sure I can find it somewhere in Kärntner Straße. I find the Viennese magazine and I also find myself on page 271. I hope you also have a nice start of May. ♥

The story goes like this. We were sitting hungry in our favorite French bistro downtown Vienna. Le Bol was busy and noisy but we enjoyed our breakfast. After we were done with our breakfast and happy, Elena (the girl of the photos above) asked me if I wanted to accompany her to the shop, next to Le Bol, which has eyeglasses and I asked her to go to that magical street with the blossoming trees so we can take photos. We did both. First we went to the eyeglasses shop and then, we took the metro line U4 from Karlsplatz to Pilgramgasse (where I used to have an aparment once) and went to the cherry blossom trees. And this is what happened. No special make up and no hair dresser, we had a spontaneous photoshooting. So, this is my friend Elena in front of my camera. Elena doesn’t model in her life; she posed only for me. It’s safe to say that my friends are beautiful 🙂 As for me, one day I hope, I will be shooting for Dior #bigdreams :)) ♥

I love dogs. And this is why I wanted to share this dog love story with you. I usually don’t document dog love stories on The Viennese Girl blog but this one, the love story of Zoe and Otto, spoke directly to my heart and I thought you might enjoy this story too.

You can tell from the photos, that Otto was looking for his significant other. He went out on a sunny day, he suddenly met Zoe, and they started getting to know each other. After rolling around in the grass and having some fun, they finally got hungry and didn’t lose the chance to savor their food.♥

If you would like to have a wonderful photo shooting with your pet, I recommend you to check the services of Shutter dogs.

October is about to come to an end and so far the weather has been good, mostly sunny and warm until today!! I went to buy some donuts today and a sudden cold feeling made me want to get back home as soon as possible. Well, it was my fault actually, because my friends warned me yesterday and I still wasn’t dressed that warmly to face such a sudden temperature change. I refuse to accept the fact that the winter is coming to Vienna but tell me how I can accept, when my mind and heart are still in Santorini, where I could roam around the alleyways and gaze at the infinite blue sky.

On this post I share with you some snapshots I took in between classes in the University and other important meetings in the center. Follow along Instagram for more exciting shares and happy moments.

Vienna in September

Vienna in September

I came to a friend’s flat for a couple of days and as I came home alone and tried to open the door, I guess I was doing something wrong and therefore the door didn’t open. I was standing in front of the door with my big pink suitcase, totally frustrated, with one hand trying to open the door and with the other hand speaking to my friend on the cell phone. Suddenly an old man from the apartment across showed up and started asking me if I am a burglar or if I am allowed to enter the flat. He made me really nervous with his nonsense questions, I told him that I am not a burglar and fortunately he locked his door and left me alone.
Later on, when I managed to open the door and entered, it suddenly started raining cats and dogs. The rain didn’t last long and afterwards a multicolored rainbow appeared in the sky. I don’t see rainbows often and at that moment I remained completely in awe because it was like a surprise, a magical one.

Conclusions of September:

1. There is no better welcoming in a flat, than a rainbow in front of your window.
2. And for God’s sake!! You never ask a lady with a pink suitcase if she is a burglar.

In a nutshell, Vienna in September wasn’t so nice; therefore I am glad September is coming to an end.
