The 500 – Oh, what a day! We went for a stroll around the city, the weather was warm and the sun was shining brightly. We explored some cool places where you can enjoy a drink with a view (stay tuned – posts are coming soon) but what really excited me were two things: a fawn pug with a wrinkly, short-muzzled face that wanted to bite me, or kiss me, or lick me (actually I didn’t understand his intentions) but it was fun anyway and also a vintage Fiat 500! Cute pugs and old cars make Vienna even more beautiful! If you like this photo, you can find more photos on Instagram.
Btw, the mini skirt in the photo below was made by me.
I dare to say that the summer is here, although I shouldn’t say so because the weather in this country is always unpredictable. So, with this Italian phrase “Viva l’estate”, I welcome the summer season and I hope that, now that it has come, stays here at least for the next 4 months.
My lovely friend, Susanne, suggested meeting her for lunch at an “alternative” restaurant but I somehow convinced her to go for THE PIZZA.
Beneath the Piaristen Church in a beautiful plaza you can find the Italian restaurant called “Il sestante”. Whether you are local or a tourist, don’t miss it, but I warn you, make a reservation. I went there today at 13.00 and it was already full. As a precaution, I called the restaurant one hour before our arrival to ensure a table for two.
And now the question is “where do we find the best italian pizza in Vienna?”. Let me give you some tips. I like both “Il Sestante” and “Il sole”, and also “Disco Volante” and “That’s amore”.
Will you come here with me? In Pure Living Bakery. I would like to show you my new discovery. My new discovery couldn’t be more delicious. A place that I could visit day by day. If you come with me, it will be even better and we might be lucky enough to meet Blue again. Blue is big, he has blue eyes, white soft hair and he likes to play with you (see photos below). You‘ll see, it is going to be a blast!
What I ordered: A dark orange chocolate, the Oreo cake, the banana chocolate cake, one bagel with rucola, cheese and ham! Mahlzeit (good appetite in German)!

March 20th, my birthday and the March equinox, which marks the beginning of spring. Such a happy feeling that those two things occur on the same day. Today is a busy day (which day isn’t it?) but together with a cup of orange juice, I find some time to write a few words on this blog. I have to hurry up because I have a Spanish course to attend, then I am going to meet six beautiful students of mine and later on, I am going to meet a special person and we plan to go to the theater, then to a classy dinner!
If I could ask something from you as a birthday wish, it is to know a little bit more about you…..so please feel free to write me whatever you like!
Happy birthday to everyone who celebrates their birthday TODAY!
There is something strange happening in this city. During the week days, the weather was beautiful. It was sunny and if you could find the time to lie down outside, you could enjoy the sun, get warm and your skin could finally produce a lot of vitamin D. The strange thing is that when the weekend came, I don’t understand why and how, the weather changed and started to rain. Why, If only I knew but the question is: what to do on a rainy day? A strawberry cake with a friend in a lovely Cafe is always a nice thing to do on a rainy day.
What do you like to do on a rainy day?
