All pictures were taken by me
This week, on Friday the 24th of June, I had another opportunity to play dress up, to feel like a little princess and to fall in love with my life here in Vienna. It was the first time I attended the Fête Impériale Ball, but it was my third ball of this year, after the Vienna Opera ball and the Kaffeesiederball at Hofburg Palace. To be honest, after experiencing three balls in Vienna, the Vienna Opera Ball is on the top of my list. But I liked the Fête Impériale very much as well, especially for the decoration and its summer character. Yes, on The Viennese Girl blog, we do love summer balls.
From a photography point of view, the situation was quite out of my control because I couldn’t really move and get the picture composition that I wanted. However, in one of the photos above, there is a beautiful picture of the Director of the Ball, Elisabeth Gürtel, together with Princess Benedikte of Denmark.
I wish I get more opportunities to dress up like this and to take pictures of fairy tale moments like this ball, not only in Vienna, but also on a more worldwide level. In Cannes for example, I am just saying… : ) ♥
This blog post seems to be more current and relevant than anything else because summer is finally here. As the temperature rises, all of us more or less are trying to find a pleasant place to relax on the weekend, or during those precious hours after work. Apart from that, it has also been a while since the last time I revealed a Vienna tip here on The Viennese Girl blog. Ops, wait a minute! Did I say Vienna? I meant to say Bad Vöslau, a spa town only approximately 40minutes away by car from Vienna.
I didn’t know that a place like this, or something similar to it could exist close to Vienna until last week. As you can see from the photos above, I found myself in a green oasis surrounded by big trees, green field and a huge mineral water swimming pool. We had the chance to spend the whole day doing nothing but relax and enjoy our surroundings. Needless to say, I am happy to reveal one more thing to do in your leisure time here on The Viennese Girl blog, just in case you also didn’t know that place yet. On the day we went to Thermalbad Vöslau, the weather couldn’t have been better. We laid on sun loungers, ate ice cream, and it felt like we were on holidays somewhere in Italy. What a beautiful day!
I should not forget to mention the little wooden house, called Milchbar, which is located up on the hill. We had yummy snacks, drunk mango smoothies and chocolate milkshakes, all while enjoying the pretty view. If you visit Thermalbad Vöslau, it’s a good idea to walk around as the thermal bath is huge and spacious. Make sure you also pay a visit to Milchbar. More info about Thermalbad Vöslau here. ♥

With the photos that Margarita took for The Viennese Girl blog, I would like to show you a little part of my University Campus Vienna which is situated in Alsergrund, the 9th district of the city. The University Campus Vienna used to be General Hospital but now is a joyful place, with gardens and bars! Oh and parties, especially when the weather is good!
The imagery we created this time is obviously focused on the big pink tree that blossoms this time of the year. We went to the University Campus Vienna very early in the morning to be sure that no student would be around in order to take a few photos uninterrupted. In the Campus there were me, Margarita and the gardener and it was a great way to start the day. ♥

I feel a little bad about all the radio silence here but I need to finish a thesis for the University of Vienna that has to be ready by the 20th of April. So, apart from the photography love, I am still a student who deals with thesis and deadlines. However, I always try to find a bit of time for a little stroll in the center of Vienna during the day and I promise to myself that I can always study at night. This time Margarita joined me to that little stroll, and as she always carries her photo camera with her, she snapped some photos of me. I thought I should share the photos she took on The Viennese Girl blog to show you how spring looks like in Vienna.
Which is the best time of the year for you? Which is the best season to visit Vienna? I have always wondered how spring is in Sydney, or in Tokyo, or in Singapore… Maybe because I have never been to those places, so I am just a little bit curious, as always! But soon I am going to discover how spring is in Munich ♥

You can find them everywhere in my room: next to my pc on my desk, under my duvet, in my bucket bag, behind my books and between my magazines. I am talking about those spherical EOS lip balms that occupy my space throughout all year and I am happy that they do because in winter (thank God is behind us) my lips were never dry… But even when my lips are not dry, I use the balms because they come in different colors and irresistible scents that soon become a little addiction of mine.
And I was glad to find out that Bettine share the same love for the Eos lipbalms and was up for a funny photo shooting where we had to try out the three new limited flavors, Fresh Watermelon, Passion Fruit and Honeysuckle and play around with them on one of the sunny days last week at Schönbrunn.
♥Happy Easter everybody♥

When I got the invitation to visit Bad Gastein, I somehow felt like that it was going to be an exciting weekend, and although I had to study for the upcoming exams, I bought a train ticket, packed my luggage with warm clothes and left for the mountains without giving it a second thought. You have probably seen it on my Instagram that I have been to Bad Gastein but on The Viennese Girl blog I publish photos that you cannot find on Instagram.
That weekend in the Alps was extraordinary and magical. As you can tell from the photos, everything was covered by snow and although I was freezing, I was happy to be there, taking pictures of that dreamy landscape! Together with a group of like minded people we roamed around Bad Gastein, took photos, had breakfast at Haus Hirt, dinner at Regina Hotel, took the one-person aerial lift to reach the Bellevue Alm restaurant, rode horse sleigh, and visited the cutest hotel in the world Hansi Hansi. Those were my favourite moments from that weekend in the Alps.
During my return trip to Vienna I was thinking that Bad Gastein must be beautiful throughout the whole year. All green during spring and summer and all white during winter. I was also thinking of that room in the corner, where I spent one night, that had view of the snow covered mountains and the valley….that loft room in “Tessa”…♥
Suite 17 was the place I spent 2 days last weekend, a beautiful maisonette spread out over two floors connected by an indoor staircase at the Hotel G’Schlössl Murtal in Knittelfeld, Austria.
On Friday evening I took the train from Vienna to Knittelfeld, a small city in the Austrian countryside about 2 hours away by train from Vienna. It’s a place I have never been to before….When I visit a place for the first time, I usually do a lot of sightseeing but this time I decided to have a more relaxed program. So, on Saturday I devoted my time to photography and on Sunday to wellness&spa.
If you ever find yourself in that part of Austria, don’t miss the experience of having dinner at Hotel Steirerschlössl and visit the most magical Christmas market which is next to the Hotel G’Schlössl Murtal. ♥
Where do you like to have your morning coffee in the city, if not at home?
Not far away from where I live, there is a cafe called Kaffee von Sascha, which is run by an adorable couple from Ukraine. Kaffee von Sascha is not like the other cafes in Vienna. Sascha is passionate about making coffee for his guests while Nina makes the T-shirts that you will see hanging on the wall and they are both proud and happy to run a concept store that combines coffee&fashion. Although I went there alone, I felt very welcomed and comfortable while chatting with both of them in a warm summer day, and for that reason, I took some pictures to share with you on The Viennese Girl blog.
I left the Kaffee von Sascha with a T-shirt that portrays a cute dog and really can’t wait to wear it in my summer holidays in Greece. Don’t forget to visit them if you are in Vienna. I personally loved the table next to window and not only their coffee, but also their strawberry smoothie and all the other delicacies they treated me.♥
Just a few shots I took this Saturday in Vienna wearing a very summery outift because of the heat that hit Vienna this weekend. Saturday in Vienna started with ice cream from Ferrari, buying short pants for the holidays and later on, carefree stroll along the Danube river. Oh, I could really live in an endless summer if it were possible and I am really looking forward to my summer holidays on the Greek islands and to a wonderful collaboration I am going to have the coming week….. all the rest here is just a routine from which I am trying to escape…♥
