Orloff Resort in Spetses. A very much anticipated photo story of a very beautiful hotel in a very beautiful island. I wanted to get my hands on these photos since last October and never had the time. And before I set off on the new adventures for 2020, I had to make sure that I will have published the photos that you see in this blog post on The Viennese Girl blog.
Last September I had the chance to visit Spetses for the first time. Spetses was the last stop of my Greek island hopping. I couldn’t have found a better place to end last summer’s island hopping. It was a solo trip dedicated to my passions: photography, interior design, and the island life.
However, I did one mistake. I packed my suitcase very quickly and at the very last minute. As a consequence, I forgot to take my bikini with me. Someone on the island told me to buy a new one. But in fact, I bought already 2 new swimsuits last summer. One more would be too much for me to buy. I simply wish I had my swimsuit with me, so that I could have spent a few hours in the pool of the hotel and take a dip.
I consider myself lucky for having visited Orloff resort. The hotel arranged for me a lovely room that had a balcony with a view. Since this is a resort hotel, and NOT a mass hotel, it gave me the privacy and the exclusivity that I am generally looking for. If you are heading to Spetses island, I can only recommend you to check out Orloff resort.
If you have any questions on Spetses island, please leave a comment in the comment section below and I will try to get back to you asap. Thanks! Hope you enjoyed my photoghraphy!

I wasn’t planning to do an exclusive blog post for the Cotton House Barcelona on The Viennese Girl blog. But the photos of its interior turned out so nice (at least according to me, I don’t know what you think, but I’d love to know) and that made me change my mind.
Cotton House Barcelona is a 5 star hotel where we had the luck to spend the first two nights of our stay in Barcelona.
We were unable to leave the hotel the first two days of our stay in Barcelona because it was raining cats and dogs. The non stop rain for two consecutive days didn’t dampen our spirits though. We were happily and willingly stranded and surrounded by the walls of Cotton House. The only downside of this was that we couldn’t take photos of their beautiful terrace.
There are 3 things that I really liked in this hotel:
First and foremost, you could smell the cotton scent all over the place. Secondly, we were welcomed with a glass of champagne. Thirdly, the lovely people of the hotel printed a few of my travel photos and hung them on the mirror of our bathroom as a welcome message for me. How cute is this!
All photos of the hotel were taken by me, except the ones I am in.

In the middle of last October I had the chance to visit Lisbon for the very first time, stay and photograph Baixa House. In this blog post, I would like to share with you a few photos that I took during my short stay at Baixa House. When I say short stay, it was a 3 nights stay, to be more precise with you. I feel very happy for the opportunity to photograph Baixa House, I loved the interior design, and I wish I will be able to go back and stay a little bit longer. As for now, I will let the photos do all the talking.
All interior photos at Baixa House were taken by me. This photo of me was taken by Beatriz, a Portuguese follower who then became a friend.
When you stay at Baixa House, you feel like you own an apartment in Lisbon. This is not a typical hotel. This is a five-star apartment building with several beautiful meticulously curated apartments. Curated in a way that it feels quite natural and effortless to you. The apartment I stayed at was on the fourth floor and it was called Gulbenkian. I had a balcony with a view, where every morning I could have my breakfast and every night I could see the moon from it (which is something that I love doing).
Gulbenkian was a lovely apartment. But during my stay, I discovered that there are also some other apartments which are very pretty as well, like Campo Grande, Ultra mar, Principe Real etc. You may want to check this place out, if you are looking for a place to stay in Lisbon. This might be something for you!
Lastly, a sweet shoutout to my friends from Urlaubsguru for their contribution to this trip. You guys, if you also want to escape from the cold, or if you are looking for the best travel offers on the web, I highly recommend you to check them out.

There are moments I think to myself that I’ve seen everything. This is of course due to the fact that I’ve travelled so much and have been fortunate to stay in wonderful properties around the world. But then, I get the chance to visit a few more properties, like Archipel Mansion in Fira, and I realize that there are still places and properties that manage to amaze me.
I visited Archipel Mansion Santorini at the beginning of last September. In this blog post, I am happy to share with you some of the photos that I took during my stay.
Archipel Mansion is one of these places that makes you feel good. Beautiful properties can actually have that positive impact on your well being. I believe that.
Good news! October is still summer in Greece, and in my opinion, it’s the best month to visit Santorini. I’d love to go back now. Less crowded and cooler temperatures. You can walk up and down the narrow streets, without sweating like you do during the warmer months. It’s October, but you can still wear summer clothes during the day. So, if you want to plan a spontaneous trip to Santorini, I highly recommend that you check out Archipel Mansion.
Santorini travel tip: For a great food and great wine meal on an open air rooftop patio, head to one of the prettiest villages in Santorini, Megalochori, to find Feggera Restaurant. This is where I had dinner the first night in Santorini.
A huge thank you to @ariahotels and Delenda family for letting me stay in and photograph this gorgeous holiday villa in “Fraggomahalas”, the ancient district of Santorini’s capital, Fira. Thank you for letting me experience a little part of its history!

After 3 amazing days at San Luis, we thought we had seen “everything” from South Tyrol! But nope! Our chauffer picked us up from San Luis Hotel and brought us to Castelrotto. Three more exciting days were ahead of us!
At the end of May we spent three days at the Schgaguler Hotel in the Dolomites. We absolutely loved it! In this blog post, I am glad to present you my photos from this experience.
During our stay at Schgaguler Hotel in the Dolomites, we really enjoyed our massages and using the spa area.
A minimalistic approach to life! Love it!
I’d like to take a minute to thank Sandra who has been so adorable to us during dinner time. Seriously, it’s not often that you get treated so nicely! I guess she makes everybody’s dinner an unforgettable experience with her smile and friendliness.
So, if you plan to visit the beautiful Dolomites and stay in the mountain village of Castelrotto, you now know which hotel to hit first!
Here are some pictures from the surroundings of the hotel!
I’d like to thank wholeheartedly the Official Tourism board of South Tyrol for inviting me to explore their beautiful region and the family of Schgaguler Hotel for being so great and kind as hosts. It’s a shame that I didn’t know how beautiful this part of the world is. Now I know!
