I am going through some hard times at the moment and this is because a lot of stuff must be done and when they are done I feel too tired to work for The Viennese Girl blog. There are days that I have so much to do and don’t know where to begin with. But I am not here to tell you that I have no time. I want to tell you that breakfast in a beautiful cafe is always a good idea (like Paris!). Precious time in a cafe with friends or just by myself, both cases are a very enjoyable experience. This time I went to cafe Ansari alone but I found friends there. One more proof of how small Vienna is and there is always this chance to meet persons that you know here and there accidentally. I have been told that Cafe Ansari is usually full but on Monday morning, it wasn’t so much and we found a table immediately. We sat together and really enjoyed our breakfast at Cafe Ansari and intend to come back soon.♥

The more it’s getting warmer, the more I spend time sitting outside, somewhere in the center of Vienna, doing some people watching for hours, often forgetting that how much time has passed and other things, more important things must be done than watching people passing by for so long. The more it’s getting warmer, the more I feel the need to spend some time on a beautiful terrace with a bunch of good friends sipping wine, or even better, summer cocktails. Cafe bloom is the cafe bar of the Hotel LAMÉE and it has a beautiful terrace with view of the Viennese roofs of the first district and the cathedral Stephansdom of Vienna. Take the lift and go to the ninth floor and I will be happy if you are going to like it like I do. ♥

The Viennese Girl For Trendsylvania

The Viennese Girl for Trendsylvania

May gives me many ups and downs but I shouldn’t complain, especially when I think that 3 magazines in Austria mentioned The Viennese Girl blog and I am glad that Trendsylvania is one of those. A style catalogue and fashion design magazine that you can find free of charge at the Humanic Stores in Vienna.

We teamed up with Trendsylvania and offer you a survival kit made up of summer clothing essentials. A little photo of me and a description of my blog are also included in the article. If you go to a Humanic store, look for the Trendsylvania magazine and me! I hope you are going to like it and that you are going to find your own summer essentials. Ahhh, I am looking forward to relaxing summer days and nights somewhere in the Aegean, in one of the Greek islands of course…♥

There was a girl on Instagram who recommended me to go and visit that place behind the Ubahn metro line U3 Schlachthausgasse. You see, I am not used to hang out around this area, so this is how I discovered that place. Vienna continues to surprise me pleasantly although I should admit that the architecture of the houses left and right to that street was not exaclty to my liking and it was a little photography challenge to snap the blossoming trees while avoiding the buildings.

When I was taking those pictures, initially I had no intention to upload them on The Viennese Girl blog but then I gave it a second thought and felt the need to share them here with you all.

The fairy tale scenery that you see in the photos above only lasted for about two weeks. It’s like all the beautiful things in life that don’t last that long. ♥

As we were walking around the center, I said to Tony that I want to make a blog post about the best ice cream in Vienna – since I love ice cream so much – and write about the places where I usually buy my gelato. We had some time and the photo camera at our disposal, so we went to try different ice creams from the following ice creams shops in the first district of Vienna:

Eissalon Tuchlauben Eis Greissler  – Gelateria Hoher Markt  – Zanoni Zanoni – Ferrari ice cream in Krugerstraße 9 (Ferrari doesn’t have a website at the moment)

Another recommendation for ice cream in Vienna is Tichy.

But if you live in Vienna you might not need to read this blog post, because you might have already checked out all those places I mentioned above and you already know where to find your favourite ice cream. After all, everyone has her or his own preferences. As for me, I don’t have a special preference concerning ice cream shops, so I usually go to the closest one. It always depends on which part of the city I am in. As for the flavors I love chocolate, stracciatella and nutella.

And after that blog post, you know how and why I gained one kilo in one day. 🙂 ♥

The Viennese Girl for Madonna magazine

the viennese girl blog for Madonna magazine

Today I woke up pretty late. At 10.30am. But it’s Saturday and I am excused, right? I looked at my mobile and I had at least 4 messages from friends telling me that they saw me in Madonna magazine. Although I knew that the article would be published at beginning of May, I needed some time to realize it. At this point, I have a chance to say that blogging and photography is a hard work, and if you want to have a successful blog, it demands a lot of hard work, so I am glad that all this work get recognized from magazines and people like my work and I feel thankful for this. It all started as a hobby, as an idea to escape from the routine but it’s growing fast now and although I have a vision and goal, what is happening still feels sometimes surreal.

So, this weekend started with great news. The Viennese girl blog is featured in Madonna magazine. One whole page dedicated to The Viennese Girl blog with a nice text and beautiful photos from Tony Gigov wearing Patricia Vincent. You can find the online version here. Now I want to know how would you feel if you see photos of yourself in a magazine? ♥

The Viennese Girl for Wienerin

1st of May, bank holiday in Vienna. I wake up at 6.30. I make myself up quickly. I get in the metro. I am in the center of Vienna around 8.00am. My first goal of the day is to take pictures of the center of Vienna without people. I have only one hour to complete my work because when the cafes open at 9.00, the center will be full of people. I know exactly where I want to go, of which places I want to take pictures, so I don’t lose not even a minute. My time is valuable. At 9.00 I am done. Hooray! Now I deserve a Viennese breakfast  for rising early this morning. I decide to pamper myself and enter Demel. I found a table next to a window and while I savor my Viennese breakfast I lose myself into deep thoughts. Sometimes I think too much. After one hour of thinking and eating, I am done with my breakfast. Ready to go now. My next goal is to buy Wienerin. I am sure I can find it somewhere in Kärntner Straße. I find the Viennese magazine and I also find myself on page 271. I hope you also have a nice start of May. ♥
